In the early 20th century, Patna embraced cinema, challenging traditional norms. Kailash Bihari Sinha, in 1929, boldly experimented with plays, music and dance performances, silent film shows under the banner of Palace of Variety. This marked a pivotal moment as cinema became a cultural phenomenon, captivating both masses and elites. Notable artists like Sehgal, KC Dey, Noor Jehan, Suraiya, Devika Rani, Ashok Kumar, Prithvi Raj Kapoor and more contributed to the enchantment of this new era.
