नाट्य दल के बारे में
दस्तक की स्थापना सन 2 दिसम्बर 2002 को पटना में हुई। तब से अब तक मेरे सपने वापस करो (संजय कुंदन की कहानी), गुजरात (गुजरात दंगे पर विभिन्न कवियों की कविताओं पर आधारित नाटक), करप्शन जिंदाबाद, हाय सपना रे (मेगुअल द सर्वानते के विश्वप्रसिद्ध उपन्यास Don Quixote पर आधारित), राम सजीवन की प्रेम कथा (उदय प्रकाश की कहानी), एक लड़की पांच दीवाने (रचनाकार – हरिशंकर परसाई), एक और दुर्घटना (नाटककार – दरियो फ़ो), पटकथा (कवि – धूमिल), भूख, किराएदार (दोस्त्रोयोव्सकी की कहानी रजत रातें पर आधारित), एक था गधा (नाटककार – शरद जोशी), आषाढ़ का एक दिन (नाटककार – मोहन राकेश), जामुन का पेड़, पलायन, निठल्ले की डायरी, तीसरी क़सम उर्फ़ मारे गए गुलफ़ाम आदि नाटकों का मंचन देश के अलग-अलग शहरों, गांव, कस्बों के आयोजित प्रमुख नात्योत्सवों में किया गया है।
दस्तक का उद्देश्य नाटकों के मंचन के साथ ही साथ कलाकारों के शारीरिक, बौधिक व कलात्मक स्तर को परिष्कृत और प्रशिक्षित करना और नाट्य-प्रेमियों के समक्ष समसामयिक, प्रायोगिक और सार्थक रचनाओं की नाट्य प्रस्तुतियों और आयोजनों को उपस्थित करना है।
निर्देशक के बारे में
पुंज प्रकाश, सन 1994 से रंगमंच के क्षेत्र में लगातार सक्रिय अभिनेता, निर्देशक, लेखक, अभिनय प्रशिक्षक व प्रकाश परिकल्पक हैं। मगध विश्वविद्यालय से इतिहास विषय में ऑनर्स। नाट्यदल “दस्तक” के संस्थापक सदस्य। राष्ट्रीय नाट्य विद्यालय, नई दिल्ली के सत्र 2004 – 07 में अभिनय विषय में विशेषज्ञता। राष्ट्रीय नाट्य विद्यालय रंगमंडल में सन 2007-12 तक बतौर अभिनेता कार्यरत। अब तक देश के कई प्रतिष्ठित अभिनेताओं, रंगकर्मियों के साथ कार्य। एक और दुर्घटना, मरणोपरांत, एक था गधा, अंधेर नगरी, ये आदमी ये चूहे, मेरे सपने वापस करो, गुजरात, हाय सपना रे, लीला नंदलाल की, राम सजीवन की प्रेमकथा, पॉल गोमरा का स्कूटर, चरणदास चोर, जो रात हमने गुजारी मरके, पटकथा, भूख, किराएदार, एक था गधा, आषाढ़ का एक दिन, पलायन, मारे गए गुलफ़ाम और तीसरी क़सम, निठल्ले की डायरी आदि नाट्य प्रस्तुतियों का निर्देशन तथा कई नाटकों की प्रकाश परिकल्पना, रूप सज्जा एवं संगीत निर्देशन। कृशन चंदर के उपन्यास दादर पुल के बच्चे, महाश्वेता देवी का उपन्यास बनिया बहू, फणीश्वरनाथ रेणु का उपन्यास परती परिकथा एवं कहानी तीसरी कसम व रसप्रिया पर आधारित नाटक मारे गए गुलफ़ाम उर्फ़ तीसरी क़सम, भिखारी ठाकुर के जीवन व रचनाकर्म पर आधारित नाटक नटमेठिया, हरिशंकर परसाई की रचना पर आधारित निठल्ले की डायरी सहित मौलिक नाटक भूख और विंडो उर्फ़ खिड़की जो बंद रहती है तथा पलायन का लेखन। देश के विभिन्न प्रतिष्ठित पत्र-पत्रिकाओं में रंगमंच, फिल्म व अन्य सामाजिक विषयों पर लेखों के प्रकाशन के साथ ही साथ कहानियों और कविताओं का लेखन व प्रकाशन।
निर्देशकीय
फनीश्वरनाथ रेणु हिंदी साहित्य के चर्चित लेखकों में से एक हैं. भारतीय, ख़ासकर बिहार के ग्रामीण समाज का जीवंत चित्रण रेणु की लेखनी का मूल आधार है. इस नाटक का आधार इन्हीं की प्रसिद्द कहानी पंचलाईट है जिसे नाट्य-कला के अनुरूप ढ़ालने के लिए आवश्यक जोड़ घटाओ किया गया है, किया भी जाना चाहिए क्योंकि कहानी एक अलग विधा है और नाटक एक अलग. किसी भी कविता, कहानी, उपन्यास या निबंध आदि को नाट्य-विधा के अनुकूल होने के लिए आवश्यक बदलाव से गुज़ारना ही पड़ेगा. हां, बदलाव करते हुए इस बात का विशेष ध्यान देने की आवश्यकता है कि लेखनी की मूल आत्मा सुरक्षित रहे और बात भी बन जाए. फिर यह भी नहीं भुला जा सकता कि रंगमंच वर्तमान का माध्यम है इसलिए उसे वर्तमान के अनुकूल भी होना पड़ता है.
रेणु जी प्रति अपार आदर, सत्कार रखते हुए जो भी आवश्यक बदलाव और जोड़-घटाओ हमें लगे हमने निडर होकर किया है. वैसे भी
मेरा मुझ में कुछ नहीं, जो कुछ है सो तेरा।

कथासार
गांव के एक टोला में गोधन और मुनरी एक दूसरे से प्यार करते हैं लेकिन उनका प्यार ज़माने को स्वीकार्य नहीं है. मुनरी की मां एक को यह ख़बर जैसे ही पता चलती है वो पंचायत बैठा देती है. पंचायत बैठती है और काफ़ी विचार-विमर्श के पश्चात सरपंच और गांव के अन्य पंच गोधन का हुक्का-पानी बंद करके गांव से बाहर खदेड़ देते हैं. दो प्रेमियों बिछड़ जाते हैं और चाहकर भी एक दूसरे से मिल नहीं पाते. इधर टोले में पंचलाईट ख़रीदा जाता है लेकिन समस्या यह कि किसी को जलाना नहीं आता है. इस समस्या का निवारण यह है कि गोधन को पंचलाईट जलाना आता है और पंचायत गोधन को सजा से मुक्त करे और उससे पंचलाईट जलवाकर जग-हंसाई से मुक्ति पाए. आख़िरकार गोधन को बुलाया जाता है, वो पंचलाईट जलाता है और समाज आख़िरकार गोधन और मुनरी के प्यार को स्वीकार कर लेता है.

About The Group
Dastak was established on 2 December 2002 in Patna. From then till now Mere Sapne Vashpa Karo (story by Sanjay Kundan), Gujarat (a play based on the poems of various poets on the Gujarat riots), Corruption Zindabad, Hi Sapna Re (based on the world-famous novel Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes), Ram Sajeevan. Prem Katha (story by Uday Prakash), Ek Ladki Panch Deewane (writer – Harishankar Parsai), Accidental Death of an Anarchist (Playwright – Dario Fo), Screenplay (Poet – Dhumil), Bhookh, Kiraaedaar (based on Dostroyevsky’s story Rajat Raatein), Ek Tha Gadha (Playwright – Sharad Joshi), Ashadh Ka Ek Din (Playwright – Mohan Rakesh), Jamun Ka Ped, Palayan, Nithalle Ki Diary, Teesri Kasam urf Mare Gaye Gulfam etc plays were staged in different cities and villages of the country. , has been performed in major drama festivals organized in the towns.
The objective of Dastak is to stage plays as well as to refine and train the physical, intellectual and artistic level of the artists and to present theatrical presentations and events of contemporary, experimental and meaningful creations to the theater lovers.
About The Director
Punj Prakash is an actor, director, writer, acting coach and lighting designer who has been continuously active in the field of theater since 1994. Honors in History from Magadh University. Founding member of the theater group “Dastak”. Specialization in Acting in the session 2004 – 07 at National School of Drama, New Delhi. Working as an actor in National School of Drama Theater from 2007-12. Till now, he has worked with many eminent actors and theater artists of the country. Accidental Death of an Anarchist, Marnoparant, Ek Tha Gadha, Andher Nagri, Ye Aadmi Ye choohe, Mere Sapna Wapas Karo, Gujarat, Hi Sapna Re, Leela Nandlal Ki, Ram Sajeevan Ki Prem Katha, Paul Gomra’s Scooter, Charandas Chor, Wo Raat Hamne Guzari Marke Direction of theatrical productions like Patkatha, Bhookh, Kiraaedaar, Ek Tha Gadha, Ashadh Ka Ek Din, Palayan, Mare Gaye Gulfaam and Teesri Kasam, Nithalle Ki Diary etc. and lighting concept, design and music direction of many plays. Director notes
Phanishwarnath Renu is one of the famous writers of Hindi literature. The vibrant depiction of Indian, especially rural society of Bihar is the basis of Renu’s writing. The basis of this play is his famous story Panchlight, to which necessary additions and subtractions have been made to adapt it to the art of theatre, which should also be done because story is a different genre and play is a different one. Any poem, story, novel or essay etc will have to undergo necessary changes to adapt to the drama genre. Yes, while making changes, special attention needs to be paid to ensure that the original spirit of the writing is preserved and the point is also made. Then it cannot be forgotten that theater is the medium of the present, hence it has to adapt to the present.

Synopsis
In a village hamlet, Godhan and Munri love each other but their love is not acceptable to the world. As soon as Munri’s mother comes to know about this news, she convenes a Panchayat. The Panchayat meets and after much discussion, the Sarpanch and other Panchs of the village stop Godhan’s hookah and water and drive him out of the village. Two lovers get separated and are unable to meet each other even if they want to. Here in the village, punchlights are bought but the problem is that no one knows how to light them. The solution to this problem is that Godhan knows how to light a panchlight and the Panchayat should free Godhan from punishment and get rid of the evil eye by getting him to light the panchlight. Eventually Godhan is called, he lights the punchlight and the society finally accepts the love of Godhan and Munri.
